For all cycling events, competitive and non-competitive, riders under 16 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Sunday 2nd February, Reliability Rides:

Traditional untimed, self-supported fitness rides with choice of two distances:

65 miles, Signing on from 8.30, Depart from 9.00. GPS route file - 49457410

44 miles, Signing on from 9.00, Depart from 9.30. GPS route file - 49457518

Hot drinks available at the start and full refreshments at the finish.

Ride HQ and signing on: Walton Village Hall LE17 5RR

Entry fee £5. Venue will close at 3.00pm.

Early season Gilmorton 10 TTs on ACC/10/9

Saturdays in March : 8, 15, 22 & 29*

Race HQ and refreshments at Walton Village Hall LE17 5RR.

Signing on from 10.00am. First rider starting at 11.00am.

Open to club and visiting riders. Entry fee £5 (+£1 for non-affiliated riders)

*Saturday 29th includes mens' and womens' "The Leveller" Trophy for road bikes only (no tri-bars or disc wheels)

New format for summer Time Trials

Hinckley Cycle Racing Club, Leicester Forest Cycling Club, Ratae Road Club, Rockingham Forest Wheelersand Welland Valley Cycling Club are coordinating a weekly nine TT round series for July and August 2025.

This ‘round robin’ summer ten-mile TT series is intended to provide weekly TT opportunities for local cyclists throughout the summer.  Each club will run one or two events, and then encourage their members and others in the local cycling community to support the remainder.

Each Club can use these events as qualifying rounds in their own Club competitions, as well as there being a series competition (the ‘Round Robin series’).

These events are on the traditional TT day of the week for each Club to fit in with established patterns (local clubs run 10s on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays), and whilst may be subject to change, the current programme is set out below:

• Ratae Road Club, 11 am, Saturday July 12, on the Gilmorton course

• Rockingham Forest Wheelers, 7pm, Wednesday July 16, course TBC

• Welland Valley Cycling Club, 7pm, Tuesday 22, on the Lubenham course

• Ratae Road Club, 11 am, Saturday 26th July, on the Gilmorton course

• Rockingham Forest Wheelers, 7pm, Wednesday July 30, course TBC

• Welland Valley Cycling Club, 7pm, Tuesday August 5, on the Lubenham course

• Hinckley Cycle Racing Club, 7pm, Tuesday August 12, on the Wolvey course

• Leicester Forest Cycling Club, 7pm, Tuesday 19 August, event TBC

• Hinckley Cycle Racing Club, 7pm, Tuesday 26 August, on the Wolvey course

Sunday 20 July 75th Anniversary Founders Day:

Whether you ride or not, this will be the social highpoint of the club's summer in this, our 75th Anniversary year!  Choices of fast, steady and off-road routes. 

Meet at 09:00 at Jenno’s Coffee House, Everards Meadows, John Cooper Way, LE19 2AN with an 09.30 depart. 

Finish at the Cock Inn at Peatling Magna, LE8 5UQ 12:30/13:00pm for drinks and lunch provided by Lemon Grove Catering (£5 for members, £14 for non-members). 

Details for pre-ordering lunch will be posted on WhatsApp. All food orders to be completed on the separate form and payment is required by the 25th May 2025. To celebrate the RATAE ROAD CLUB 75th ANNIVERSARY the Founders Day Ride food cost of £14.00 per person will be subsidised to £5.00 per person for members.

Sunday 28 September 75th Anniversary Charity Rides

To commemorate our 75th anniversary we are organising a 75 mile (with 75km option) charity ride to raise a donation to a local charity. A minimum entry fee will apply but there will be no need to raise sponsors. More details will follow.
