Ratae RC likes to promote itself as the club for all types of cycling and our long distance enthusiasts have tackled Lands End to John O'Groats on many occasions. The latest to undertake this classic ride is Chris Sprott who wrote himself into the club records by smashing four days off the previous club record when completing the Audax UK End to End 1400km Brevet Randonneur within the 4 days 20 hours and 40 minutes Audax target time.
If this wasn't a stupendous achievement in itself Chris's LEJOG ride is just one of a series of 200km+ rides he is undertaking over a twelve month period towards an Audax Randonneur Round the Year Award. Congratulations Chris and good luck for the rest of your year.
Update: At the same time that Chris was setting this record, fellow club member Adam Webster was also riding LEJOG, completing in ten days to put himself in third position in the Ratae records. Another superb achievement!
