Fine weather and a fine end to the TT season

Our summer season finished in great style on Saturday 27th and with it the final results for the club's points and handicap trophies. Entry levels may have been down on 2023 but what we lacked in quantity the riders more than made up in quality.

A superb 21:37 posted by Daniel Taylor of Cambridge University CC was fastest on the day, which also saw Alex Whitmore heading the men's points and Debbie Cooper (with her fastest time of the season!) winning the women's points trophies. Paul Eden finished his season top of the Handicap trophy. Chapeau to all three!

The final day also saw club members Dean Lippitt (with a landmark PB) and Steve Pearce post their fastest times of the series.

All competitors never forget that these

events only happen with the huge support of the HQ teams. Our time keepers are both valuable and essential and Ed Matthews used his considerable persuasive talents to ensure each event was fully marshalled. Dee kept us all replete with drinks and cakes (with some excellent home made cakes from members) and provided a great post-race atmosphere in the clubhouse.

But above all else we should thank President Peter, whose enthusiasm for racing and overall management of the series keeps the Ratae at the forefront of local time trialling. Great Stuff!!
